Picture taken in 1982 outside the Nike Factory in Ireland

When you find a pair of Nike Internationalist or Nike Pegasus GX and they say Made in Ireland on the tongue, this is where they were made.

Nike had a factory in Navan in Ireland for a few years.
This is a family picture taken in 1982.

"In 1982, approximately 95 percent of Nike shoes were manufactured on a contract basis by 25 foreign suppliers located in Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, England and China. The balance was manufactured by Nike owned plants in the Northeastern United States, Ireland and England.

In October, production commenced at our factory in Navan, Ireland, which by the end of the year was producing approximately 20,000 pairs of technologically advanced shoes per month for distribution principally in the Common Market countries. The Navan facility was joined at the end of 1982 by a Nike factory in Yorkshire, England which is producing high quality soccer shoes."
